Seven Recent Grads to Play in High School All-Star Baseball Game

Seven recent graduates will represent the Comal Independent School District during the McCombs Ford West’s High School Baseball Seniors Celebration Thursday, July 2, at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio.

The San Antonio Missions along with the San Antonio Area Baseball Coaches Association (SAABCA) announced the team rosters earlier this week, and seven Comal ISD players were selected.

Three Smithson Valley High School players were selected for the Class 6A Stars team including catcher and first baseman Chandler Cole; pitcher and first baseman Caden Norman; and first and third baseman RJ Carver.

The Class 6A Stripes team will feature two Canyon High School players including pitcher and outfielder Josh Malone and second and third baseman Damian Carreon.

The Sub-6A Freedom team will feature two Canyon Lake standouts including outfielder Brandon Robinson and shortstop and second baseman Caleb Williams.

The doubleheader begins at 4 p.m. with a matchup from San Antonio area Sub-6A and private schools followed by a 7 p.m. matchup of San Antonio area 6A schools. Fans who stay until the end will be treated to a fireworks show.
